This is the FIRST of FOUR special new reverse designs depicting various scenes in Abraham Lincoln's life in recognition of the Bicentennial of Lincoln’s birth and 100th anniversary of the first issuance of the Lincoln Cent. This reverse design depicts the Birthplace of President Lincoln reflecting his birth and early childhood in LaRue County, Kentucky. Named after his paternal grandfather, Abraham Lincoln was born in a Log Cabin on February 12, 1809.
