The mint introduced this new more compact style holder in 1979, which resulted in less air getting to the coins resulting in fewer sets with problems. Minor distractions are pretty much limited to Proof haze or rim toning on the coins. Late during the Mint's Proof production run of 1979, a new Type II, Clear 'S' style mint mark was introduced. All six coins in this set bear the hard-to-find Type II mint mark.
