Unlike modern Proofs where mintages are in the millions, only 81,980 Jefferson Proof Nickels were minted in 1952 and only the very first strikes from new Proof dies will have any frosting on the obverse or reverse devices. This is a pretty much toning-free, haze-free coin with minor, if any distractions, a scarce specimen having light Cameo contrast on the devices. Earlier Proofs never last long and this is the only 1952 Proof Nickel in stock.
