1088
Small Aluminum Pie Pan "HH" A vintage small round pan for baking, believed to be made of aluminum, perfect size for a small pie large enough for two. Some might call this a pie tin, but it is not made of tin (it looks to us to be aluminum). Bottom interior of pan has two raised letters, "H H" which we believe relate to the manufacturer, but we do not know who it is. There are 6 holes in the bottom of the pan, put there by the manufacturer we think to help "vent" the pie during cooling.

Measures 8 inches in outer diameter, 6 3/4 inches in inner diameter, and sits about 1 inch in height. Very nice used condition, but this old piece is not mint. There is a small dent (not bad, but there) on the rim in one spot, and many, many scratches from use in making lots of pies! Also expected age wear in the form of scuffing, spotting, some areas of spots formed by tiny black dots, pitting, etc. Not perfect, but still a nice old look and very usuable.

A neat addition to any collection of antique pie plates, kitchen collectibles, baking collectibles, etc. Would make a great gift for someone who loves to bake or works as a baker or in a bakery, and would look nice hanging on a wall.

Click for more detail...
1203
West Germany Tin Fluted Pudding Mold Carrier with Lid This is a tin fluted bread, plum or other pudding mold with lid, sometimes called a mold carrier, stamp marked on the lid "Made in W. Germany" or West Germany near the center. We are guessing this dates from the 1950s-1970s period but don't know the manufacturer or manufactured date for certain. The piece has age and wear and is not new. The main part of the mold has traditional fluting around the outer edge and on what becomes the top of the pudding (which is the base or underside of this mold). There is also a handle on the lid for easy carrying.

Together the two pieces sit about 5 1/2 inches in height (without the handle), with a greatest width of about 7 inches (from one of the lid opening side tabs to the other, these tabs stick out from the lid and base slightly). The main mold (base piece) has a top opening diameter of 6 1/4 inches, flaring slightly upwards and outwards with a central spoke to create the traditional mold "hole in the middle". The interior of the base mold and underside of the lid are a shiny metal (which we are assuming is tin), with also shiny metal visible around the outer top of the base mold as this part sits under the lid unexposed to the outer air. There is a gray metal seam circular near the bottom and vertical on one side of the base piece (we don't know what metal or compound these pieces are seamed together with and can't tell you if this was seamed with lead or not, as many older pieces were, so please be aware of this if you use this piece). The remaining outer sides of this piece have a brown and brown/gray tarnished look. We've provided 5 images to try and show from all sides; please note that white "hot spots" are reflections from the camera lighting.

Very nice used aged condition but not mint. There is evidence of wear from the much spotting/tarnishing on the brown lid and sides, including rubbed spots, scratching, scraping, several minor dents on the mold sides, white dots/spots/dirt, etc. There is dark/tarnish spotting and orange rust spots on the interior base (not a lot but there is some you will see), and a touch of rust spotting on the underside of the lid. The base on which this piece sits shows expected wear from sitting over time (scratches, dark spots, etc.). None of this is bad, unexpected nor objectionable to us...it all just adds to the interest and believeability of age to this vintage piece.

A neat piece to display in a country kitchen or to add to a grouping of tin kitchen collectibles or mold tins.

Click for more detail...
1089
Old Kreamer #9 Spring Form Cake Pan An antique Kreamer Cake Pan with a spring lock on one side that permits it to open, releasing the bottom pan piece and the cake inside. Marked with the raised word "Kreamer" and the number "9" on one side, we believe this is technically called a Spring Form Cake Pan. Round, measuring 9 1/2 inches in diameter with high sides measuring about 3 inches. From the look and wear, we believe it to be an old tin piece.

Very nice vintage used condition but it does show its age. There is a great deal of tarnishing or wear as is commonly seen on old tin pieces that have been used in baking, cooking, or just aged. The spring works fine and the pieces do separate as shown in one of the images. There is a lot of discoloration, pitting, scratches, some rust, spotting, etc., none of this uncommon for these types of pieces. We did only a surface wipe and did not attempt to "shine up" since many people want these in their old-looking shape, and are selling it as is/as found. But to us none of this is objectionable, and it all adds to the believeability of the age and look.

A great addition to any collection of antique kitchen collectibles or baking collectibles, and a neat gift for anyone who likes to bake, is a baker or works in a bakery.
