P120

Gladding McBean, Franciscan El Patio Carafe This is the rare Gladding McBean, Franciscan El Patio Ind. Carafe or Coffee Server which stands 5 1/2 inches tall and has its original lid, which is often missing.

Made by the Gladding McBean Company and part of the El Patio line, it shows that bold informal dining casual chic so typical of the wares made by the California pottery and dinnerware companies from the 1930s - 1960s.

This is the bold orange red color often used by the Franciscan company on its varied wares. This individual carafe has the circular GMB stamp and the words Made in U.S.A. The copper clamp that attaches the wood handle is intact and strong. It is in excellent condition and ready to add to your California Pottery collection.

5504

Holt Howard vintage pair shakers label Standing 3 3/4 inches tall, this pair of Holt Howard signed 1964 salt and pepper shakers are pure 1960s! The three decals of a stylized and abstract cup of coffee, pear, flowers and skeleton key are done in the shades of the early 1960s to complement the kitchen colors of that era: avocado, harvest gold, pumpkin orange. How funky! There is a tiny pin sized nick on the salt shaker (three holes) but the one hole pepper shaker is perfect. On the bottom of the one hole shaker is the original gold paper label and the original plastic stopper is in place. The other shaker is signed C Holt Howard 1964 but has lost its stopper and label. Add them to your Holt Howard or shaker collection today.

P508

Franciscan California 5 piece breakfast set This fun and funky breakfast set was made by the Franciscan China Company of California most likely in the late 1950s or 1960s. It is composed of a 7 3/8 inch long by 5 1/2 inch wide tab handled set upon which sits two lidded containers, one in daffodil yellow and one in deep forest green glaze. Both the tray and yellow covered container are signed with the standard blue ink FRANCISCAN Made in California mark along with the number 13 on the tray and a number on the yellow container but it is hard to decipher. All parts of the set are in excellent shape. Perhaps it was for toast and jam, who knows. What I do know is that it would look great in a retro or vintage California style kitchen. Add it to your Franciscan or kitchenware collection today.
