4522
6 LuRay Coffee Tree gray decaled coupe soups In 1949 to 1951, the Taylor Smith Taylor company issued the scarce gray LuRay with a few decals. This bold green leaf and brown branch decal called Coffee Tree was designed by Walter Dorwin Teague who designed the Conversation line which launched in 1951 and was made until 1954. I like the highly stylized and abstract design on the muted gray glaze. The pattern carried the standard LuRay mark and a datestamp of 9/49

These pieces of the pattern are 6 coupe soups or flat soups. They are all in excellent condition. In fact, they appear unused.

Impressive and useful pieces to add to your LuRay collection or American Dinnerware collection today.

In the 1995 LuRay book by Meehan, a regular gray LuRay coupe soup is listed at $18-$25. This exact decal can also be seen on page 86 of that fine reference book. Price is each. Order all 6 if you like.

4765
Forest green Mid-Century shakers Straight from a Vermont farmhouse country auction, to you, measuring 2 1/4 inches tall, this pair of salt and pepper shakers is a vibrant forest green. By its biomorphic shape, it was most likely done in the late 1940s or early 1950s to go along with one of the popular dinnerware sets of the era. They are not marked, so are they Ballerina, Pebblestone, California Modern, Monterey, you tell me. They still have their original corks and are in very good shape. Add them to your American dinnerware collection today.

4904
Purinton Pottery Club official tee-shirt This size Large Fruit of the Loom Supercotton Made in the USA white 100% cotton t-shirt was purchased by my parents in the late 1980s or early 1990s at the one convention of the Purinton Collector Club they attended. They purchased this Tee-shirt for me as a souvenir of that convention. I have never worn it.

It features the logo Happiness is Purinton and features a large replica of the Purinton Apple pattern large platter with the green edges. I hope someone who loves Purinton will purchase and wear it to flea markets or shows displaying it. What a great Mother's Day or Father's Day gift for next year. Have a friend who collects Purinton? How about an early Christmas present. Again, size is Large. It is short sleeved and in excellent condition.
Enjoy!

4966
Luray Lu-ray gray footed 13 inch platter Measuring almost 13 1/2 inches across, this World War II era American dinnerware oval footed 13 inch platter is in the scarcer and harder to find gray color. Gray was made only between 1948 to 1952. It is in very good condition, no chips, cracks or dings but it does have a few light knife marks. It carries the date stamp of 8 49 on the back. Valued at $18 in the 1995 Meehan Luray Pastels book on page 21, it is a good bargain and a great starter piece. Break out the mashed potatoes, or the barbecue! Add it to your American dinnerware collection today.

Click for more detail...
B20
2 Anchor Pottery 9 inch Elite pattern plates Anchor Pottery of Trenton New Jersey produced fine dinnerware from 1893 to 1926. The firm was purchased by Fulper Pottery in 1926. Anchor Pottery had been owned by the Grand Union Tea Company and was used to manufacture premiums that Grand Union gave away in the house-to-house sales program, according to a Stangl Company book. These lovely vintage plates are Victorian in decoration with some Aesthetic Period motifs in the transferware pattern. It is a brown transfer pattern around the trim. The semi-porcelai plate has crazing but no chips or cracks. The one plate has a tight hairline on the back as shown in the photo. The mark on the damaged plate was registered in 1918, according to the Lois Lehner book (page 25). The mark on the undamaged plate is listed as Mark 1, meaning it could be from the earliest 1890s period but I am not sure. The pattern is the Elite pattern. The plates measure a little over 9 inches. They are a great piece of American dinnerware. Add it to your buffet or shabby chic decor today. Use both or hang them decoratively.
