This Loetz Creta Papillon 5.25 inch vase in the classic combo of green oilspotting over green glass was the same as the line designed by English designer Christopher Dresser in the Art Nouveau period. I have a vase in my collection with this same coloration which matches the one I saw in person which was bought from Adolph Bing's Paris shop and donated to the Paris Decorative Arts Museum in 1905. Six lobes and a polished pontil base make this a great piece of Bohemian art glass. Excellent condition. Add it to your art glass or Loetz collection today.
