This stunning piece of pottery comes from West Germany from the Schramberg factories. SMF Schramberg Majolika Fabrik vase Gobelin decor by Eva Zeisel. Eva Zeisel worked at SMF from 1928 and 1930, during this time she designed the Gobelin pattern.
It is very Art Deco in its form and decoration. The pattern is called Gobelin 4. It features a gray background upon which bars of burgundy, cobalt blue, yellow, orange and green are randomly placed to create a Clarice Cliff like effect.

This Art Deco form was used to arrange dried flowers.
