Manufacturer: Noritake Seen on page 59 of David Spain's second book as B.254 on the right, this 7 inch bowl stands 2 inches high and is 6.63 inches wide. It is a great example of the use of black in Deco Noritake. The background of the piece is a light turquoise color which offsets nicely the gold and black stripe and the red petals of the center flower. Notice the beginning of the stalk which is done using negative space for the stalk and a leaf. The two intersecting bands of black and gold triangles add motion and zing to this piece. The three closed tab handles are subdued and do not detract from the design. There is no paint loss to this piece. It is in excellent condition. It is signed with the red wreath mark. Spain valued it at $120-150 in 1999. It is yours for a much lower price. A great example of Noritake Art Deco!
