Manufacturer: Phil-Mar Lamp Co, Royal Hickman
This leaping deer is a Royal Hickamn Pottery creation. The pottery was sold to Phil-Mar in the 50?s. The graceful lines of the deer leaping so effortlessly over the tall flowing leaves is a sight to see. The deer looks right at you as he glides over them. His puffy white tail leads you to believe he is signaling his companions of danger ahead.

The leaves turn just right to form the basket your plants or artificial flower arrangement can go in. The coloring is called Ebony Agate, black with touches of lighter blended whitish gray. It was a standard Royal Haeger glaze. Touches of white in just the right areas gives it total dimension. It is missing a bulb. The planter it self is in excellent condition. It stands 9 3/4 inches tall by 15 1/ inches long and 4 inches deep. Though not a part of this item, I am including for attribution purposes an original Phil-Mar label which matches the chestunt glaze version of this same TV lamp which I have previously sold. But here it is, documenting manufacturer.

Stunning in person! This is an up-and-coming collectible category. Grab it while you have a chance!
