Manufacturer: Stanley Ballard, Vermont Produced by Vermont Mid-Century studio potter Stanley Ballard, a student of Glidden Parker at Alfred University in the 1940s who worked in the Burlington area, this 2 lite candleholder measures 6 1/4 inches long x 3 1/4 inches wide x 2 3/4 inches tall.
It is from Ballard's midde period, I think, as it has heavy mottling of the blue overglaze and chocolate brown underglaze. It is signed S. Ballard and shape number 82. It had a matching console bowl in this wave shape. It is in excellent condition. Add it to your Ballard or American Midcentury studio art pottery collection today.
