Manufacturer: Pyrex, Corning Glass
Here is a very very cool vintage warming stand made by Pyrex which could have been sold along with many of the beverage server or glass teapots and coffeepots they produced. It measures a little over 6 inches square and stands 1 1/2 inches high.

It has a black plastic handle and a textured glass top over the heating unit. It carries model number 5612-EW, the PYREX name along with the words WARMING TRAY, Corning Glass Works, Corning NY. Watts 120, Volts 115 AC. Most importantly, it carries patent number 2,563,878. The original four black rubber feet are there and intact. It appears to be unused. The original cord and plug are present though I would have it rewired for modern use.
Buy it and use it for a retro Art Deco evening soiree. Think good Vermont Green Mountain Coffee in a funky server for your dinner guests! Fabulous!! |
