Standing 9 inches tall to the top of the white plastic stopper, this very interesting pottery bottle is marked Dobson, Ltd, Burlington Vermont with a large star as part of its mark.
The front of the bottle features an inset of a maple leaf with the words PURE MAPLE SYRUP around it and highlighted in a deep pumpkin orange glaze. The glaze on the bottle itself is a high gloss drip glaze with undertones of deep pumpkin orange and deep green giving it a brown color like vintage redware or earthenware bottles.
I don't know if it is of recent manufacture or a vintage piece. I could find no information on the manufacturer. It IS a handsome way to store and serve your maple syrup, produced in Vermont of course.
Add it to your kitchen or country decor today. It is in excellent condition.
