Circa: 1942-1946 Manufacturer: Hocking Glass Company
This set of 6 1/4 inch diameter sherbet or underplates is part of the Moonstone line made by Hocking Glass Company from 1942 to 1946. One usually sees the bowls and ruffled rim pieces. In excellent condition, this set of 5 sherbet plates would look great on a holiday table. Think red velvet cupcakes for the Fourth of July!
They can seen on pages 155-156 of Mauzy's Depression Glass Book (1999) where they are priced back then at $5 each! My price is much much lower as I found them quite reasonably.
Go green! Save resources and purchase a piece of America's past. Sturdy, dependable, dishwasher-friendly, it is ready for your kitchen table today. |
