Circa: 1950-1970 Manufacturer: Prolon Plastic, Florence, Massachusetts
This set of 4 stacking coffee mugs would be great in a camp kitchen or in a picnic basket as they are virtually unbreakable. The tan plastic mugs were produced by the Prophylactic Brush Company of Florence, Massachusetts under their Prolon Division. In 1953 Irving Harper (of George Nelson Associates) designed a very famous line for this company.
These mugs however were part of the Prolon line of institutional ware, and are stamped on the bottom: Prolon Ware, Florence Mass. with the shape number 11 as well.
They are ready for your picnic basket or camp, so brew the java and head outside. |
