Circa: 1981 Manufacturer: Lundberg Studios, Daniel Salazar, California
This vase is an early version of a vase done in a technique called by Lundberg Studios as encasement vases. I have seen them also advertising as paperweight vases, but on the Lundberg Studios site, they are simply called crystal encasement vases.
Daniel Salazar started at what would be called Lundberg Studios in 1975. This 4 3/4 inch tall vase is decorated with a vine and violets vase. The inside of the piece is iridized which makes the encased flowers float on a gold color surface.
The piece is correctly signed. On one side of the bottom it states Lundberg Studios 1981. On the other side is Daniel Salazar 11-23-81.
A great example of early Lundberg Studos by a very collectible master glass craftsman. Add it to your California Studio Glass collection today. |
