Circa: 1900-1910 Manufacturer: Heisey Glass Company, Newark Ohio
This Heisey Ring Band custard glass toothpick holder can be seen be seen in Brederhoft on page 97. It carries a souvenir inscription of St. Johns N. B. (New Brunswick Canada).
The top part of the holder is thin enough to show a lot of fiery opalescence. The original Heisey name for this custard glass was Ivorina Verde. According to the Brederhofts, the enamel decoration and gold was added to Ring Band by Oriental Glass Co, of Pittsburgh, PA.
It is in excellent condition. Add it to your toothpick, Canadian glass, custard glass, or Heisey collection today. |
