Circa: 1921-1925 Manufacturer: Noritake China Company, Nagoya, Japan
This Noritake Art Deco bud vase stands 4 1/4 inches tall. It is a fairly common piece and a simple Noritake design which maximizes the abstract and stylized chevron design created by simple black lines on a slight cream color background. The color of the vase is a rich red with orange highlights in it. This color was made very popular by the Tangee Company in its face powder line. The top rim is trimmed in black.
It is signed with the green wreath mark putting it in the transtition period between older Nippon and the 1925-1931 red wreath mark period. It is in very good vintage condition. It is shown in both the Van Patten and Spain book.
