She is a country doll, France. This is such an unusal doll item. I think she is made of paper mache not composition but I would not swear to it. I have 2 of them for sale items dot003 and dot004. Be sure to look at each. The doll and candy box are in very good condition. The dress is so old it has slits, not really tears. It is beautiful. Because of the way the slits run I wouldn't replace the dress. It is a green satin type dress trimmed in velvet with a plaid apron trimmed in lace. The lace head piece and the geogette crepe pink polka dot bodice trimmed in lace are lovely. Under the dress is the candy box. The body is cloth and stuffed with excelior. Ca: 1940's.
