In 1988, Winfield Craftsman Studios was born which later became Prairie Art. We became one of the first artisans in the country to redesign and create new pieces in the style that has become known as "Prairie" "Mission" "Arts & Crafts". While maintaining and broading the style, we have carefully tried to avoid "reproducing" old pieces. As you look thru our pieces, you'll notice many pieces (so far uncopied) that are unique to our site. We hope you enjoy your shopping experience. Prairie Art mission 4 lt hanging fixture 001 The fixture is 30inches square with 4ft chains. The main body and the ceiling attaching bell are solid red oak stained medium. Prairie Art mission Tower lamp 003 This Tower lamp, 10 x 10 x 28, is made of cherry and poplar stained mahogany with 4 honey amber stained glass panels. It has a 3-way socket to handle up to a 150 watt 3-way bulb. It also has an inline cord switch for easy on/off access. This lamp was originally designed for a Prairie style restaurant in a large Chicago suburban hotel. Fewer than 25 exist. Each handmade piece is signed and dated by the maker W.
