Her short pink dress has a blue bow, and it is in a popular 1930s style with pleats, so it is similar to the costume that Shirley Temple wore in the movie, Curly Locks, and pink center-snap shoes. This Ginny doll was not intended to represent the child actress that she so greatly resembles. This doll comes with a plastic stand that says 'Ginny' and a doll-sized comb and brush. These dolls were only available a short time in a limited supply. Vogue Doll Company found a very few of these dolls buried in the warehouse. This retired doll is new and mint-in-the-box. This is the Chinese outfit Shirley was wearing a the beginning of the movie. In it she played Barbara Stewart, an orphaned daughter of missionaries to China, who was known as little 'Ching Ching' who escaped aboard a steamer heading for America via Shanghai, Hong Kong, and Singapore. After her trials and adventures along the way, she eventually would find a loving home. Her doll ensemble includes a red silk-like blouse with high collar and rolled sleeves with blue cuffs over gold pants with blue floral appliqué cuffs, and blue silk-like slippers with red lining, certificate, stand, and certificate.
