Circa: 1966-1971 Manufacturer: Corning Glass Company, Corning New York
Information from the The Complete Guide to Corning Ware & Visions Cookware book by Kyle Coroneos. " The Blue Cornflower was the first Corning Ware emblem. It was introduced with the original line of skillets and saucepans in 1957. In 1988 Corning retired the Blue Cornflower. The blue cornflower which is found on 90 plus pieces of Corning's Pyroceram ware debuted in 1957 and was retired in 1987. The P series dates from 1957-1971 when it was replaced by the A series which ended in 1987.
This P-82-B-1 1/2 Corning Blue Cornflower Menu-ette Covered Saucepan was made between 1966 and 1971. It is being sold with the P-81-C lid. It holds 1 1/2 pints. It is shown on page 27 of Coroneos' 2006 guide titled The Complete Guide to Corning Ware & Visions Cookware.
Excellent vintage condition. No damage of any kind.
Using Corning Cornflower items is an easy way to bake casseroles, gratins or use them as serving dishes. Retro pratical flair. I bought it very reasonably so can pass them on reasonably as well.
